It was a swoosh-dominated weekend for Nike. Tiger Woods won his own tournament at the AT&T National; and two additional Nike Golf athletes, Anthony Kim and U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover finished in the top five. All of this was in concert with Nike’s Roger Federer winning his 15th career Grand Slam and Serena Williams winning her third Wimbledon title.

Tiger Woods and defending champion Anthony Kim, who were tied for the lead at the start of the final around, dazzled the crowd in the final pairing, but Woods prevailed by shooting a four-under-par 66 en route to an impressive tournament performance of 13-under-par.  Using Nike Golf’s new driver, the SQ DYMO and the Nike ONE Tour ball, Woods averaged 312-yard drives ranking fourth in driving distance and seventh in driving accuracy (73.2%).  Woods also ranked tied for third in greens in regulation using the Nike Blades.

Glover, who recorded his second top-five finish since his U.S. Open victory, enjoyed another week of impressive putting with the new Nike prototype putter ranking first in the field in putts per greens in regulation.
